Rutidosis leptorhynchoides

Slender hairless daisy to 30 cm. This linear stemless leaves with a rounded tip and curved-back margins. Yellow button daisy flowers on long stems. Feathery seedheads.

Perennial. Well-drained heavy soils in grassland. Requires open conditions to regenerate, and dies beneath thick grass. Drought and fire-tolerant, but competes poorly against other plant species. Long-lived and germinates in autumn.
