Leptorhynchos squamatus subsp. squamatus


Variable spreading perennial herb 10-40 cm high with tufted roots. Few-branched stems, often cottony below the flowerhead. Dense narrow leaves all the way up the stem, often two coloured, smooth and hairless above but underneath cottony-white. Leaves often concentrated on one side of the stem. Bright yellow button flowers 10-15 wide. Dry fluffy seeds.
