Description
The Eyre Yorke Block bioregion extends throughout the Eyre and Yorke Peninsulas in the mid-southern part of South Australia. This bioregion is made up of hilly plains, rocky outcrops and sands. There are also scattered salt lakes which sometimes dry out completely.

Climate
Temperate climate with warm summers and cool winters. The average yearly rainfall in the south of the bioregion is quite different to that in the northern area. Some areas in the south receive up to 600 mm of rain, while areas in the north of Eyre Peninsula receive about 350 mm. Most of the rainfall occurs in winter.
