Vulpia myuros


Erect sparse annual grass to 60 cm. Leaves up to 18 cm with flat or upwardly inrolled leaf blades, the upper surface being covered with bent hairs. Seedhead is often nodding.

Similar Species

Similar to FoxÕs-tail Fescue V. megalura which has different hairs on its seeds. Vulpia myuros forma megalura confined in Vic to areas west of Melbourne. Interbreeds with Vulpia bromiodes.
