Burchardia umbellata


A bulbous perennial lily to 65 cm tall with one or two grass-like fleshy leaves to 30 cm long. Flower is an umbel of up to nine white honey-scented flowers, all at the same height on the plant. The sweetly-scented flowers are pink on the outside and white on the inside, with pink or purple anthers and a pink central stigma.

Has long starchy roots with up to 10 tubers per plant. One to two grass-like pale green leaves to 20 cm.
