Carnivorous perennial herb, tuberous, basal leaves 13-25 mm long, green, orange-yellow or red, in flat rosette, up to 20 flowers, up to 3 cm across, on short stalks, white or pink.

Distinctive Features

Insectivorous plant with basal rosette of leaves that in sun glisten like dew, and comparatively large and scented white flowers.

Biology

Perennial. Can form dense colonies in moist areas, in which it can be locally common. Occurs on rich clay soils, or sandy soils over clay.
