Grows up to 50 cm tall by 50 cm wide with many tufts of narrow, grass-like silver-grey leaves. Bright yellow round or oblong flowerheads at the top of slender upright stems.

Distinctive Features

Thin silver-grey leaves up to 10 cm long, with a pointed tip.

Biology

Perennial. Well-drained sites in grasslands and woodlands. Hardy, drought-resistant plant and salt-tolerant. Can survive in lightly grazed paddocks. Dies off after flowering then reshoots in mid-winter.
