Brachyscome rigidula


Upright or sprawling wiry daisy to 40cm tall. Abundant densely hairy branches. Slender woody rootstock. Hairless highly dissected leaves taper to a narrow point. Single purple daisy flowers with a yellow centre on hairy flower stalks that are bumpy with glands.

Distinctive Features

Daisy with many wiry hairy stems and purple flowers with yellow centre. Leaves are highly divided giving a somewhat lacey appearance.

Biology

Perennial. Occurs across a diversity of habitats. It requires disturbance and bare ground for regeneration. This species can only tolerate light grazing.
