Craspedia canens


Herb with stiff green to purplish woolly lance-shaped flower stems (usually one but up to five), to 65 cm. Yellow globular flowers to 25 mm across. Leaves mainly at base in a rosette, 6-25 cm long, 5-15 mm wide, evenly grey-green with long fine white hairs on top, sparsely whitish hairy underneath.

Interesting Facts
Similar Species

Pycnosorus is distinguished from the similar Craspedia species by looking at the tiny yellow flowers that make up the flowerhead. In Craspedia they are on a little stalk and in Pycnosorus there is no stem.
