Schoenus apogon


Small deeply tufted grass-like plant to 30 cm tall. Fine inrolled leaves. Deep reddish-purple flowers held in dense blackish clusters at a leafy bract node near the top of the plant. Tiny nut is whitish, three-ribed and with a network of veins.
