Semi-aquatic, small perennial herb, with prostrate creeping stems. Leaves erect, to 12 mm long and rounded and 1-3 mm wide.

Flowers are on erect, slender stalks 8-25 mm long, and are small white, tubular with five petals.

Biology

Perennial. Widespread in fine silt or mud of rockholes, edges of streams, drying lakes etc. Can resprout after fire from lignotuber.
